What Laptop Brand do your prefer???

Hello all,

There was another one of these (http://www.computerforum.com/21496-what-brand-laptop-do-you-prefer.html#post1071955) but that poll closed, so in discussion with the others in that thread, i offered to make one, and they agreed, so that is what i'm doing.

The brands, you have to chose from are as follows:

• Acer
• Apple
• Lenovo / IBM (same company)
• Dell
• HP / Compaq (same company)
• Toshiba
• NEC
• Gateway
• Fujistu
• Sony
• Averatech
• Asus
• Other - Pls Specify in post

I hope i covered most of the "major" brands.

My Vote - I like most of them, but i have to go with apple, i like macs

lenovo/ibm

and they arent the same. IBM spun off the home/light business machies(basically eveyrthing apart from the mainframes) to lenovo which is like 20% owned by IBM, and about the same is owned by the chinese government.

Asus and Toshiba had both done me very, very well.

Asus g2s b2 and p-100 toshy

Toshiba, HP and Sony. Sony mainly though as I bought one about 8 years ago and it still works great, not a single thing has failed on it.

I have a custom made Sager. The best laptop I have ever seen. It's about 2 years old now but still like brand new. Even survived a 15 month trip to Afghanistan without a scratch.

When I bought it everything was top of the line

Intel T7200 @ 2.0 GHz
PCI-E Nvidia 7950 GTX
4GB Corsair RAM
17" High Def glass screen
All aluminum case with polished steel top
Vista Ultimate 64bit
