New AGP vidoe card VS new comp

I know it sounds crazy but I am thinking about upgrading my AGP card. I am trying to get another year out of this comp. I can get a Sapphire Radeon HD 3850 512 MB AGP for a little over 100$ vs 800$+ for a new comp.

Games played:
Warhammer online
WOW

SYSTEM:
Pentium 4 2.53ghz
1G ram (all mother board can handle)
30G hard drive
450W power supply

Current card:
Nividia GeForce 6800 GS 256MG AGP

Overclocked to 411 MHz(core) 1039 Mhz (memory)

I can currently play Warhammer….but I have some lag issues. Do you guys think it would be worth buying the Radeon HD 3850 AGP 512MG AGP card? Keep in mind I just want to be able to play on low settings and get another year out of the machine.

Thanks for the info!

Your video card probably isn't the issue here. Your entire system is probably bottlenecking, with only a GB of RAM, an old P4, and a small, probably slow, 30GB HDD. The video card is the least of your worries.

yea, you'll want to build a new pc.

my suggestion is a core 2 duo of some sort (maybe the e7200) and an HD 4850.

if not then lower the games settings to ULTRA LOW. lol that system is kind of old.
