I would really like to replace my old G3 iBook with the 13 inch 2.4 GHz model, but spending $1,850 for the base model with the extra warranty is just not going to happen right now.

I dislike how there is no FW400 ports anymore. Meaning if I got a new one (which my work may get me a new one who knows?) I would have to buy adapters for all my FW400 drives!

blah!

On a side note, someone asked Jobs about if Apple were considering a netbook. He replied, we are looking into it and waiting to see how the market treats them. Which means they already have one made and ready to go, but are waiting out to see if the market catches on.

Yeah, I wish for more Firewire as well...

I am thinking about replacing my Dell laptop with a new Macbook Pro. The new 13.3" Macbooks actually have a graphics card now even though it's not that powerful.

Yeah I just emailed my boss, seeing if they would buy me a new MBP we will see what he says.

It sucks. Apple sucks. Why choose a Mac which is made of proprietary pieces, when you can get a laptop or a PC that you can upgrade, or build as you wish.

WOW:rolleyes:

yeah and you can easily add RAM to an Apple laptop, so your point is still retarded.
hahha 1 point for Tlarkin
chibicitiberiu = FAIL

Okay than let's just say about the software: Mac OS = bad. Why? Lack of games and software, and horrible.... not yet targeted by viruses, but it will soon be

you were owned in the first place and now you change from hardware to software ? haha :p

On topic : been doing a bit of reading on that too, looks real good

How do you think I got 7 new Xserves over the summer? Just wished for it? Prayed? No I asked my boss to buy them for me (well for our infrastructure).

Damn. Ask for another one and send it to me:cool:

BTW people if your talking about overpriced i didn't see a notebook with ddr3 yet

Haha bto this http://www.alienware.co.uk/configur...sCode=PC-EU-LT-A51M15X-FC&SubCode=SKU-DEFAULT

BTO with:

Vista Ultimate 32bit = OS10 leopard in ultimate version (they have 1)

512MB NVidia® GeForce® Go 8700M GT - The MBP has a 9600M GT I'm just being nice about this!
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T9500 2.6GHz - pretty much almost the 2.53GHz
4GB Dual Channel DDR2 SO-DIMM at 667MHz - 2 x 2048MB Again thats not DDR3
Single Drive Configuration - 320GB 7200 RPM SATA

= 2,440 Euros thats 2 hundred more than the high end pro And the Pro has DDR3 Ram

MacBook is actually pretty cool for home user, but bad news is there is not many software available for Mac. I'll stick with Window because I'm a PC and I'm a camera man, haha... (from PC commerical)

I just realized something. The new macbooks lack a firewire port, only the Pros have firewire.

What a stupid ass move by Apple.

but the coolest is that MacBook could install Windows OP. That'd be cool, but it would kill the hard drive would it?

I ordered that Macbook Pro
2.53ghz
4gb ddr3
320GB HDD @7200rpm
and warranty for about $2800 with the student discount.

It's a beast, I can't wait to get it.

I just can't justify buying a laptop, of any sort, when I can build the same desktop for half, sometimes less. For portability, I have an eeePC.
