Bioshock...does it get any brighter??

I recently downloaded this much-hyped game, and for the first few minutes, I was amazed at the quality of the storytelling, graphics, and sound. Then, I started finding myself annoyed that everything was so damn dark. I like to actually SEE what I'm doing, where I'm going...

Does this improve at all later in the game? I don't particularly enjoy walking blindly half the time, not knowing what's around me.

I understand that they're trying to make everything creepy (it works), but come on. It's a little bothersome after a while.

well,.. the game is supposed to be dark,.. but you still see what youre doing usually. (well, once in game the lights go out) so yea, if you cant see anything, you have it set too dark. :)

You need better curtains or a screen with a higher contrast ratio and brightness. When your in a stange place and theirs dark corners you get paranoid as you dont know what lurks there thats the whole point of areas too dark to see into.

It was the same way for me, all you do is increase the brightness. Its a great game enjoy!

Yea, it turned out to be some kind of bad driver or something that made my display dark. I updated, and now I can actually see! Of course, the game is designed to be dark, but it wasn't meant to be pitch black haha.

I'm really enjoying the game now. =) Thanks guys...
