Hey, I heavnt posted here for a while =/ but I back!!!1

I'm building a new computer, I'm on a budget of about a thousand dollars, (20,000 in my currency).
I'd like all the parts to be maybe bit older but proven to be very good in practice for their price.

Ok, for hte Processor I'm not really sure between AMD or Intel. Personally I like AMD, and their Phenom X4 9950 is pretty good price.

Motherboard I have no idea really.

For grafics card I'd like a DX10. 9800GTX is dx10, but I havnt thought about this much yet.

for RAM I think 2GB should be enough, I have 2GB at the moment and I dont really feel need for any more tbh. how how different is 600mhz ram from 1600mhz? performance wise

for case, I want something of good and silent. Antec Performance one should be fine.

as for the monitor, keyboard and mouse, I dont need.

opinions?

thanks, its nice to be back.

Just to let you know, there is an obviously bias against AMD processors in these forums (you will soon find out).

The GIGABYTE GA-MA770-DS3 motherboard is a good component I would look at. It supports the Phenom 9950.

2 gigabytes of RAM is very likely enough and just get some PC 6400 (DDR2 800) RAM. PC 6400 speeds are adequate.

Wish I could post more currently but I have limited time.

I have some more time so I will be able to add to my previous post.

I am currently using this 600 Watt power supply in my system. It is quiet and very good:
OCZ StealthXStream OCZ600SXS 600W

As far as RAM brand, I would pick DDR2 800 240-pin from one of the following reputable brands:
Super Talent
Patriot
OCZ
Corsair
G.Skill
Crucial
Kingston
Mushkin
PNY

DDR3 RAM is faster than DDR2 but a lot more expensive currently. I don't know of any motherboards that take DDR3 RAM currently that work with socket AM2+ Phenom processors.

But out of your options I say this motherboard is the best (it only takes DDR2 RAM):
GA-MA78G-DS3H
http://www.czechcomputer.cz/product.jsp?artno=57377

The GA-MA78G-DS3H motherboard accepts the following 240-pin types of RAM: DDR2 533, DDR2 667, DDR2 800 and DDR2 1066

Sadly the GA-MA78G-DS3H motherboard will likely not work with a Phenom 9950 processor without flashing the BIOS (flashing the BIOS is potentially risky because you could destroy the motherboard). I would instead purchase a Phenom 9750 Quad-Core processor. It will work with the chosen motherboard:

Phenom 9750 Quad-Core (2.4 gigahertz)

You might also want to look at a Western Digital Raptor Hard Drive. They have faster reading speeds than most Serial ATA hard drives.
