I crunched the number several times, and played with what I can do myself. Ultimately the 3 year warranty, and comparable costs led to me to go with ibuypower.

It comes to about 1500. I already have a 7.1 audigy z soundcard that I'll put in it. I was sort of interested in more ram, but I can always put more in later, and from what I understand 3 gigs should do me fine.

Outstanding performance for sub-$1,500 PC - configurable options let you get a Core i7 CPU for less than $1,000.BUt Competing systems have more exciting features; limited upgrade path.

I didn't want to limit myself on power, or with the motherboard. I upgraded the video card to what seemed to be the best card for the money.

All I'm missing would be a new monitor, which I might try to pick up something in an after Christmas sale.

I've seen some good triple channel ram deals which I thought about just getting and putting in there. That would give me 9gigs, which is overkill, but overkill is fun.
