There are a bizillion of those programs - and pretty much none of them are really worth it (in my opinion). By that I mean - don't expect them to replace your TV.
You could also try using something like windows media player with mms links. Here is a list of mms links for different channels that offer free live streaming. See attached zip file. They are all in one html file for you to save on your computer. So, after you open it in your web browser, you could save it in your Firefox bookmarks or IE Favorites for easy access later. When you click on a link, it will open up whatever program you have set to play mms links (probably windows media player).
This list is about a year old so I don't know how many of the links are still good. Sometimes the sites have problems, so you can try at a later time if a certain link does not work.
