New computer, few questions.

Hi everyone, new to the forum. :D

Anyways, I'm planning on picking up a new comp. This was my first choice:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9156478&type=product&id=1218038551741

But then I came across this computer for cheaper:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883109029

Question is, would I be sacraficing much performance wise if I get the cheaper computer? I don't know much about processors so that's where I'm a little stumped. The 3gb of ram I would get with the cheaper comp instead of 4gb doesn't seem like too big of a deal and 250gb hard drive space is still more than enough for me.

Finally I would be throwing this video card into the computer:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127394

And now for my last question; would I be able to run games like Oblivion and Fallout 3 on high to max setting on either rig with that video card?

OH and one last thing, I have a feeling I'm going to need a new power supply for the cheaper comp since it seems to only have a cheap 250W, but I'm not sure if I really do need to replace it or not? Can't seem to find info on the site about the power supply for quad processor comp..

Thanks in advance!

Honestly? Run away from both of those if you want to play those games at max settings.

If you want a serious system for gaming you really are going to need to spend more. Here is the cheapest system that is running a new Intel i7 chipset I have seen. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883227123

But that is a newer system running the latest CPU from Intel, you can get a much cheaper system from Dell running a q6600 cpu for around $600 if you select the cheapest system and customize it.

That the best deal for an i7 especially at the price. Get it while it last. Sorry the last thing to buy is a compaq for game pc.

1.8Ghz Phenom is a no-go, would not run anything. I doubt it has 6pin PCI-e cable and may make poof if you put that 4830 in it even if you would connect it with 2 molex. I think that other one with dual core would be the same. Oh it's so hard to get any "gaming" under $500, better follow advise from paratwa (second post) and get that one for $600 with Q6600. Better wait little longer and save money for it.
