Logitech X-540 5.1 Speaker System

Okay so they are on my way,should be with me within the next 2-3 days so just wanted to hear from those of you that already have these speakers and what you think of them.

is it okay to have the sub on a carpet floor? will it cause any problems soundwise?

Are they easy to set up?

Anything else i should know?

I love my set, I have my sub on the carpet, and I don't notice a loss in quality. They're pretty loud, too.

I've had these speakers going on 3.5 years now. I love them. Great for movies and music. I'm not an audiophile so I'm easily impressed. I also have my sub on the carpet.

It's nice to see they put a remote thingy on them now. Mine still has the controls on the speaker itself.

Yeah buddy I use to bunk with had a set and I gotta say pretty sweet sound.

Though I gotta be honest I can't tell a difference between those and my Logitech S-220. I guess I make a horrible audiophile.

My friend has those and he ran a demo for me at his house. he just kept on cranking the volume louder and louder and the sound was still very crisp and clear. Those are amazing for the price.

ya the logitech x-540's in my opinoin are really good. ive owned mine for about a year and they havent disapointed me

I've had these for a good few years now, and for the money, they absolutly rock! They really are brilliant. The ease of controlling the sub separatly from the main volume allows it to never be too intrusive, and easy to balance for whatever you're doing.


I've always had them on carpet, and had no problems with that at all.

To optimize sub placement:

Move the sub around the room, relative to where you will be sitting. Keep checking back to your stationary seating position. Wherever you end up moving the sub and it sounds the best (most clear, responsive, and detailed), leave it there!
