Parent Convincing?

Hello.

Well, first off, the computer I am running on is 5 years old. It's falling apart, having problems, ect. Just recently, I got back into computer gaming after getting bored of Wii, and since it's been such a long time since I used my computer for gaming at all, it has become obsolete. I was looking into decking the whole thing out by upgrading pretty much the whole computer, but then, I had an epiphany. It would cost more to deck out my existing PC then just replace it. I asked for a new computer for Christmas (This one in particular. In the big scheme of things, $900 isn't all that bad for a good computer.), and nothing. I have good grades, and improving, and I am a good child. How do I convince them to purchase a new computer?

Thank you,

Axl_Rose

they probably won't buy it for you because you bought a wii (IDK when). Money is tight, for everyone right now, you can build a budget gaming rig for much cheaper. You can get a pretty ace rig for around 600-700$.

If your young (<18) I suggest you to join a computer club at school and once your parents go for a interview with your teachers they will tell your parents how interested you are in computers, then your parents might think about getting you a new computer to enhance your knowledge.

This is how I done it. :)

Yeah I would think that it would be pretty hard to find a job at this time of the year, especially with the economy state & all.

that depends on what jobs your willing to do, and how much you want it. There are loads of jobs out there, but most are below what we are willing to do (hence hiring migrants :) )
Do you think your parents can afford that much?

Just get a job. If you're young, and want it, then work for it. You don't have any outgoings, and if every penny you make stays in your pocket it shouldn't take long. And if your parents see you're serious about buying a computer, maybe they'll help you out.
