Well Battlefield 2 has 64 player maps, but it wasn't made by Valve so it feels different to counter-strike. Crysis Wars I think has 64 player maps, but they are usually only custom made ones. Some of the other high end games I'm pretty sure have 64 player maps, but none off the top of me head.

Perhaps you could delay selling your PS3 I guess.

When you say 64player maps do you mean 64 alltogether?
Or do you mean 64 vs 64.
And i dont want to keep my PS3 just for one game
Nothing for PS3 is coming out which i really want
So is a waste of money having it as i sue my PC daily and game daily.

NAh i dont like the PS3 :p
Well i prefer it to the 360 it is very powerful
But i just dont like console gaming
and i am sure there is a racing game for PC which does the same as gran turismo :p

and 32 vs 32 isnt that big i was thinking of something like 50 vs 50 with a huge map

1944: Operation Overlord is still in development, but it's supposed to support about 200-400 soldiers running around on a huge map.

Thanks for that
I looked up and it and it says
Large Open Multiplayer and Co-Op system for 128+ players.
So i will be keeping my eye open for that game
Thanks very much

Are you sure that other peoples ping effects your game? Its something ive always wondered about and seen convincing proofs of both sides of the argument...

America's Army 3

???

I didnt realize that comes out so soon. Im excited for the game but I dont think theres going to be teams of much more than 20 people.

Well it must do because i remember in warrock....when we had lag we looked at players pings and if one had a nasty ping they would ask him to leave...when he did the game didnt lag.

also in LEFT 4 DEAD....sometimes someone comes in with a high ping and it lags the hell out the game, they vote to kick him and when hes gone it doesnt lag so i would say yes to "other peoples ping effects your game?"

Nevakonaza, you are incorrect about other people's pings messing up the server, or the client's pings.
Many times in an FPS people will kick people with high pings because either they can't contribute to the game (like in L4D, where teamwork is needed) or because they are harder to hit (Warrock, if the person is jumping all over the place, it's kinda hard to hit them).
However, someone's ping cannot affect the server you are playing on.

As for the OP; Battlefield 2 is a good game if you like flying and driving around in tanks and truck blowing the bajesus outta people, but the CQC is horrific. It takes about 3 shots to the head with an M4 from point blank to kill someone. Hopefully they'll fix CQC a little more in BF BC2.
I've become very fond of Team Fortress 2 lately, and even though it's not much like CSS (I used to play CSS on an amateur competitive level, and loved it), it still gives me the fun I need. I think the maximum I've seen on a server is around 32 players (16v16) but that seems like a lot on a medium/small map.

Thank you for the correction, I was giving numbers that were too high.

EDIT: According to the FAQ in the forums, the multiplayer portion of the game should support 128-256 players, which may be increased further over time. It seems as though there can be even more units, if the server allows for AI.

Yes but.

There is no information on when it is being released

Yeah, it's pretty frustrating to be in the dark. The developer team has changed the game engine at least once, so it may take some time especially when you take into consideration the amount of features and scale of the whole project.
