Left 4 Dead 2 Boycott

So here's an interesting article of the week for you in gaming. I was on IGN.com today and I came across this article:

UK, June 8, 2009 - Fans of 2008 first-person smash Left 4 Dead have reacted strongly to last week's news of a sequel, calling for a boycott to the new game in response to Valve's perceived lack of commitment to the original game.

yeah, my mate brought that up a few days ago. something like 15,000 people have joined. Although I bet that the majority of people in that group will end up buying the game anyways! lol

I wouldn't bother. It's like the gas boycotts when the prices go up high. No one follows through.

I agree that Valve shouldn't pull a Microshaft and release a new version of their product before the previous one is bug-free.
But it's just a way to make money, and I'm sure it'll be like ever other change us interwebbers will complain about at first then go with after a few weeks.
How about they release a new Counter-Strike instead of re-making new games of new games though?

Haha, I was definitely hoping something like this wouild happen however I doubt it will e very effective.

Imo they should give you a deal or something. Like if you have L4D on your steam account, you can get l4d 2 for like 33% off. I'd buy it then but at this point i dont think i will since i just bought l4d and its fairly broken.
