So recently i bought a new computer.
Intel core i7 2.66ghz
6mb ram, ddr3.
800w powersupply
everything good for running my brand new gtx 285 ocx.
But for some reason whenever i enter highly fogged area's in a game. I start to get enlarged green pixels all over my screen. i got the newest drivers and all.
The pixels seem to flash randomly every 30-40seconds.
I'm not sure whether the manufactured overclocking is to high for the card. OR if there is another issue with the card. Can someone please help me out?

Lower the clocks of the card slightly until you no longer see those artifacts.
Download EVGA Precision and underclock your card a little bit.

Before underclocking it check your temps of the video card. The high temps are most likely causing the artifacts. Increase your fan speed on your video card and the rest should take care of itself

Should i use EVGA Precision to adjust fan speed as well??? Cause i don't think BFG provides any software to adjust that.

Okay i was just wondering, for EVGA Precision. Do i have to keep it downloaded after i adjust my clock speeds. Like can i drop them all like 15Mhz or w.e and they stay that way..or does the program have to stay installed in order to keep them the -15Mhz???

before you do start downclocking your card, you should download ati tool, and run then, along with evga precision, that should tell you if your card is indeed overheating

Alright, thanks for the information.
Although im positive it ain't a heat issue, because it doesn't happen randomly...it mainly happens when i enter certain effects in a game. Such as increased fog or shadow effects. As soon as i leave an area with those effects, the green squares are gone..
But I'll test the ati tool just incase.

Now for the real answear not guesses. Green pixles like your describing are a result of bad video RAM. It makes sense the more demainding the task the more video RAM gets used and the more likley you are to "use" the bad RAM on the card. Basic computer tasks may be just fine depending on where the bad RAM is on the video card. Since it's new RMA back to the manufacture for a replacement.

So should I just send it back before tampering with it? Cause if i do declock it. Then no warranty -.-

If you tell them you downclocked it, they will void your warranty. What kind of temperatures does evga precision show at idle? Does the same stuff happen when the fan is at 100%?

When im just surfing the net/ watching youtube or something..it sits at ruffly 35-50C at 40% auto fan. When i play actual games, it bumps up 70% ruffly, and the temp goes to 70C. and when i throw it on manual 100% i get 57-60C...
