hi im looking for a cheaper motherboard without so many pci express x16 slots for a core i7 build. i wants 1600 or 1800 mhz memory standard and good overclocking capability but i dislike sli and believe it only runs up the cost of the system. my budget is ~ 200 dollars but if i must spring for some extra change and a far superior board it is not a problem. i have been looking and will continue to but i havent had much success, thanks.

i was looking at this board http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813186170
and was wondering if it would take this memory and allow me to overclock it to 1800 mhz http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227388

The p6t se is an excellent board, my friend just got his and has had no problems so far.
I had the p6t and had loads of issues with it.
So get the se if your looking at that board.

newegg will guide you through the process. Do a search for a motherboard that supports the core i7 and then use the left pane menu items to filter through the options even further, then from the resulting motherboards decide which ones have what you want and not much more.
