Hi, lately i have been having a few problems with pc. The symptoms are of a virus, but norton doesnt detect anything and its usually quite good. The first of the problems is every now and again my net broswer wont load sites, but my msn messenger works fine. It keeps on comin up with cannot find server etc etc.. but i know its not the sites problem as no sites work. So i sometimes i think that its just my connection is idling or something. But after a few mins after reconnecting it does it again.
When i get this problem if i try to alt+ctrl+del the task manager flashes up on my screen then goes. I cant seem to get it to stay. Also if i try running msconfig it does the same - flashes on the screen then goes.
If i then restart the pc i can alt+ctrl+del fine and run msconfig. But if i then try the net after a few mins the problem is repeated.
Im not a complete novice in pcs, and i have done everything i can think of to try detect the problem. I just thought that maybe i got a virus that a simple script will fix.
Anyone have any ideas
