Connecting an LCD as shadow of my 2nd monitor.

Hi, so I usually run dual monitors, and sometimes use my LCD TV as my 2nd monitor to watch a movie on.

If I get a VGA splitter and have the TV and my 2nd monitor going into it (and then that into the 2nd head on my video card) will it produce the same image on both?

It should yes, but I think the resolutions might come into play somehow.
