Need help with Graphic card please

both are great GPUs. The 4870 is a bit faster will run a little hotter and use a bit more power. The 5770 is close in speed, runs cooler, uses less power, and has a couple extra bells and whistles like DirectX 11. People could argue for either card.

As far as thermal paste goes, I have never purchased a cpu where the heatsink did not come with thermal paste on it. So don't worry about it.

The mobo does not come with onboard video so you need the card in order to see anything on screen.

and, again, you do not need any extra fans or aftermarket heatsinks at this time.

also does anyone know the difference between the norton 2010 software download and the one you buy from newegg? i saw a huge price difference but didn't understand why

The thermal paste that´s supplied is normally like toothpaste, that white ceramic crap. I just have a disliking for stock coolers and pastes.
For the sake of five bucks,I reckon it´s worth it.

Again I ask before I buy, which I'm about to....is this a decent choice and is it compatable? I noticed it said the memory was gddr5 and my other things say gddr3...will that be a problem?
