hey guys,
my friend is looking at buying a laptop for playing some games on. it doesn't need to be top of the line, but just a half decent setup, enough to play world of warcraft without any issues at all. A computer we looked at was a dell.
http://configure.ap.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?oc=s510546au&c=au&l=en&s=dhs&cs=audhs1
planning to upgrade from a pentium dual core to a core 2 duo and upgrade the graphis card to a HD raedon 4330.
would the 4330 be a capable card?

his budget is something around $1200 - $1500, just remember the cheaper the better... to a certain extent atleast :D

just for your info we are from Australia so we can only buy from Australian sites and stores, such as dell.com.au and so on.

thanks in advance!!

yeah we did a quick search through brands like Hp and acer and so on but this is the one that we thought was best. If you can think of anything thats better for around a similar price please let me know!

the main thing we were wondering about that laptop was if the gpu would be good enough to run modern games on medium to high settings. the dell had a HD 4330.

the specs of the laptop we were looking at is this.
Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor P8700 (2.53GHz/ 1066 FSB/ 3MB Cache)
Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 64bit (English)
Microsoft(R) Works Include Microsoft(R) Office Home & Student 60 Days Trial Pre-install
1Yr Dell OnCall help
1Yr Carry-In Service after Remote Diagnosis
McAfee(TM) Security Center 9.0 (English) - 30 days
15.6" 720p WLED (1366x768) Display with TrueLife(TM), with integrated 1.3 mega pixel web cam
4GB Dual-channel DDR2 SDRAM
500GB SATA Hard Drive
8X DVD+/-RW Drive with DVD+R double layer write capability, with Roxio Burn 1.0--For WIN 7
512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330

thanks in advance!

Nice specs - couldn't help you on the GPU though, sorry.

I suppose if you have done your research, there is nothing else you can do.

Good Luck.
