Is this a good external drive?

I dont burn all that much to be honest so not looking for super burning speeds,I just want a reliable and quiet drive.

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/191121

I want external because its not something else wasting room in my case, also causing it to vibrate!

Im just wondering if its USB 2.0 because all it mentions is Hi-Speed USB......theres no reviews yet either,i think its only just been added to ebuyer as i looked last week and it wasnt on there then.

thanks all!

I've had some issues with my LiteOn drives. I've had two DVD-ROMs from them that gave out and dad had an older burner that broke (well the enclosure, drive is fine).

I'm sure it's USB 2.0; otherwise it'd be limited quite a bit. I recall our first external CD-burner. 2x2x6! I think this was around the time I got my first internal 8x4x32 drive, just to give you an idea of how limited USB 1.1 was :p

Honestly i would just buy the internal. I have to drives and four burners to multi-burn at once. never thought of it as an issue. besides being cheaper.
the burners is for burning slide shows. does get a little noisy though but not vibration. then again just walk away while burning.

I had a LiteOn external dvd burner. Got it something like 4 years ago, I rarely used it (maybe 3 times a month) and it didn't work within a year or 2.

Hello Nevakonaza,

For an external drive, I would go with Plextor PX-880U. I would rather suggest to us an internal drive instead of an external drive. For an internal drive, my choice will be LG GH24NS50.

Thanks,
