how do I take this DVD drive out?

Didn't know whether to post this in cases or disk drives, so here we go... hah

Umm, I can't for the life of me figure out how to get this DVD drive out of this case. I've never seen the black locking thing on the tower. There's a diagram on it that says pushing the black thing up unlocks and in its down position, it's locked. When I push it up though, I still can't take the drive out.

Pushing that black piece up will unlock the drives, pushing it down will lock them.

yeah, I got the much. I still can't move it after I'm pushing it up though... =/

its something stupid, no doubt.

Does the other side panel come off? If so, most likely there is the same clip on that side.

Edit: What about the screw thats screwed into the drive?

edit: nothing, I don't know what that screw is... It's just screwed right into the drive; doesn't go through the case like it was holding the drive in place.

I just worked on one of those cases a few days ago. It's an older Gateway, correct? All I had to do was remove the HD, not the optical drives... However, I recall for that, you removed the screw on that little tab with an arrow on it. It'll just fall out. From there you can push that whole plastic piece up and it moves a tab away from the HD tray.

Now for that optical drive... Hmm... It looks to have slots to slide along. You may want to confirm this, but I think the screws are there to help it along the rails. You might have to remove the front plastic just because of the screws. But, my guess is while holding that black plastic thingy up, you should be able to push the drive out.
