OK...

A few of you might remember I asked a few questions about a build a few months ago...

Well, now I have a better idea of what I have and what I can afford etc...

After rooting through my Dads office, I've found tons of brand new DDR3 RAM, a 19" TFT monitor, a 1TB WD Caviar blue and two GPUs (crap ones, but I'm ok with them for the time being, I'll upgrade at a later date)...
So, all I need help with is a mobo and cpu combo, plus a case...
A mobo that takes 16GB of DDR3 is best, and any CPU you guys think is OK...
I'm thinking £250 for case mobo and cpu...

Help please ;)

Antec 300
AMD Phenom II x4 955
Gigabyte GA-785GMT-USB3

Come back when you actually build the PC as technology would move forward.

Go here for all your custom build needs. They have lots of cases to choose from and a lot of cool stuff to upgrade your comp.

As far as motherboard.. I always go with some type of ASUS. Search NewEgg.com until you find your price and specs.

yeah i would go with the previously mentioned motherboard:

i would personally go with this cpu:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103809

i would also choose the coolermaster storm scout:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119196
or the azza solano 1000 ($80 after rebate):
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811517004
both look like great cases but you could always get a much cheaper one if you wanted.

total price: $330=247 euro

Go to google product search. It show you the cheapest price with customer reviews for the shop
If you don't know what model to get, I recommend you go to newegg.com and look at their features
BTW I usually buy from ebuyer.com

Thanks again for the help...

I've been looking at the Phenom II x4, and the Core i5 750...

The intel seems to outperform the AMD...?

Does anyone have any opinions on whether the i5 is worth the extra £30??
