How to know what was downloaded in windows 7

180mb was downloaded while my computer wasn't used. Is there any way to know what was downloaded and by which software? Does windows 7 has a feature for that?

Note: Update is set to off on windows and any on any other softwares.

I have windows 7

Thanks.

What programs do you have running in the background? Hit ctrl+alt+delete and check your process list. What sort of data was downloaded? How do you know 180MB was downloaded while the computer was not in use?

I have Bitmeter to monitor my bandwidth usage and not get over the limit. This is why I know that 180mb was downloaded. But I don't know which data it is, where it is on my computer and by which program it was downloaded.

Does windows 7 keeps a log file about the internet usage? Can the win7 "open ressource monitor" or the "event monitor" do that? If not, are there some softwares which do that job?

Note: I did a scan with malwarebyte's anti-malware and everything's clean.

Thanks

Hi,
The downloaded updates are kept in the %windir%\SoftwareDistribution\Download folder by default. You can locate this folder and sort updates by time.

Thanks

Thanks, so it's wasn't a windows update as I thought.

I'd like to know which software used the net if it happens again some day. So, does windows 7 allows to do that, and if not, can you suggest me a sofware that would do it.

Thanks
