Hi i did all the work on my computer myself. It's in a steel regular case with a plastic window. It was working fine until my cats knocked it over. The hard drive wasn't in a hard drive spot because all the threads are stripped on the mounting holes. I should of taped it down but i forgot. When my cats knocked it over i think the hard drive slammed into the motherboard. I don't think it hit the video card because the video is fine. The slots further down and i'm sure stuff on the motherboard got hit. Well the speaker symbol on the bottom right where you can adjust volume has a red circle with a white x on it. When i right click and click volume mixer it just says no audio device installed. If anybody could help thanks.

Try reinstalling the driver. Make sure its not muted. If the screw holes on the hard drive are stripped out then you need to get a new hard drive. As you can see accidents can and will happen.

Hi,
Did you check all mute buttons on/off switch whether it be in the control panel, on keyboard or on speakers?

Thanks
