Repeatedly overclocking video card

MY gfx card doesn't save the OC when I restart my comp so I have to OC it again each time I turn my computer on. Will this create unnecessary stress on the card or is it no problem?

What software are you using? Most have an option to have it load a saved overclocked profile that it will load on startup.

Consider that your GPU goes from a powered off to a powered on state (pretty stressful for all electronics)regularly and constantly adjusts it's power state when in use. The re-overclocking will not put any additional stress on it - beyond what stress overclocking in general will cause that is.

Is the computer/GPU in question the one listed in your sig?

Ok thanks for the advice. Yes that is the one i am overclocking using nVidia inspector. Apple underclocks the 330m's so i put it back up a little over stock settings.

No problem. I used to do the same with an older Core2 iMac.

How do you like the new i5 MBP?

It's great, definitely the best comp i've ever owned. Lightning fast and I only have the 2.4ghz one. I was reading some comparisons and it outperformed the old C2D 2.8Ghz mbp. I'd recommend it:D
