RAM , Interesting problem

Hi , all. Ive got an older notebook , with 1GB of RAM. Later i saw , that 1GB is not enought for me. I have installed a software which shows me actuall usage of RAM , and amount of free MBs. So i could see that if i played a game or worked with photoshop a get into 0 , and then comes a memory cleaning (5min pc was absolutely unusable) and then i could again work max. for 25minutes.

So i bought , next 512MB RAM. I have installed it and everything was Ok. Everywhere was written that now there is rly 1,5GB. So i tryed to test it.
But when i was working and amount of free RAM was under 500MB , then it crashed and i could see BSOD ( Blue Death - Win XP ).

I tryed some benchmarks ( memtest86+ ) and others , but they dont see any errors. And I am still getting BSOD when i get under 500MBs , it seems like that modul is unusable , but memtest86+ was right , why?

Thx , and here are some images of my PC , and RAM specifications.

So , i made a video and then print from it BSOD. Its not good quality but i think i could read the stop code.

And it this :

*** STOP: 0x000000BE (0x00000004 , 0x806D8945 , 0xAB5C1708 , 0x00000000)

And here is BSOD , but not good quality.

This is actually most likely a 0x8E error since you just installed the new RAM module. The most probable cause is that the module is actually bad. Have you tested Windows with only the new 512MB module installed?

Now, it could be a 0xBE error. This (and the less likely cause of a 0x8E error) would most likely be a driver related error then. Have you recently updated any software or installed any new hardware other than the RAM?

No , but i will try it.

No , only that ram.

And i tested RAm using goldmemory software and that was a lot of errors. I can post an image.

How long did you run MemTest86+ for?

Since the other software is showing errors, it does appear more and more likely that the 512MB module is bad or incompatible with your system. Try swapping it with another or running it on its own.
