Weir, really weird Win7 issue

Hello.

I have this weird system issue on my other desktop PC, I cannot figure what is going on :confused:

Windows starts up to 3 minutes UNLESS I put in my USB pendrive in it. It is Windows 7 64-bit edition and I have tried both; 32 and 64-bit editions same as resetting the BIOS. After the motherboard beeps, CPU fan just goes mental, maximum speed and does not stop until you put pendrive in it or obviously switch the PC off.

So to conclude, Windows loads up to 3 minutes unless I put USB pendrive in it which "somehow" makes it faster, but how and what does it do?

Would a BIOS update work? Maybe faulty motherboard?

Specs;
GIGABYTE MA770t-UD3P
AMD Phenom II x4 955 BE
Kingston HyperX 2GB DDR3 1600MHz
Windows 7 64-bit (tried 32 and 64-bit)

Any suggestions?

I second the weird factor. Does the fan speed return to normal once Windows starts booting? Are you saying that Windows takes 3 minutes to load, or won't begin to load until 3 minutes after powering on the computer?

Do any other USB devices prevent this odd behavior? Have you tried booting without any USB devices inserted? Does it matter which port you insert your USB drive into?

First thought is that you could have a short in one of the USB headers.

No, the fan is like a little vacuum cleaner all the time, when I'm browsing internet on FF etc. Just like I was playing a game on maximum details.

It goes normal until it says "Starting Windows" and those little windows (logo) does not appear before 3 minutes are past.

Wait. Now I have taken everything out and it starts normally, does anyone know what is the issue?
OK so I took everything out and for now it seems to be working :|
