SSH Server

I want to be able to use my home internet connection from my laptop at work. Using this forum is a good reason why.

Like most companies, they have policies in place to restrict use at different levels. My current company isn't that bad and I'm fairly productive in getting done what I need to get done so It's not weighing on my conscience.

So..............anybody know how to do this?

ssh stands for secure shell connection and is a command line connection. So unless you want to use a command line browser like Lynx, I suggest you look into remote desktop instead. Also, be aware I work in IT and they can monitor your usage and you can be fired for abuse of company equipment. Just letting you know the risks.

Otherwise, google searching should show you many guides on how to do this.

tlarkin,

Really? It's my personal laptop and I'm not even hooked on to the network. I figured I could do it through my cell phone.

If you are on your own personal network via 3G or 4G from your phone, then they cannot trace it. If you are using their network, it can be traced, plus ports are probably already blocked.
