So, what are your thoughts on the new "Slim Line" Xbox 360? I think it's nice that they're now working on the overheating issues and (hopefully) the RROD issue. [strike]The HDD's seem to be built in now, much like the PS3's are[/strike], removable hard drives it would seem, but much different from the old ones, which means that the old 360 data needs to be cable or Thumb Drives to shift on over. Found an update saying that Microsoft will sell kits to do this in retail.

Also has cat-touch technology.

I personally think the gloss finish is a step-back as stated in that article. Why? My PS3 is gloss, and it may be nice but it gets marked up. Fast.

That's pretty cool hopefully Microsoft actually did something besides change the looks.

Also is it just me or does it look like the stole the design from a Alienware computer case?

I like the design. also like the change to 45nm.
I'm definately going to have a look at one of these, because I dont have HDMI on my current xbox.
(would be cool if they put in a blu-ray drive. :p but I gues that'd be too much to hope for.)

I wonder if there's a niticable difference in speed between this one and the original 360.

Damn, man.
NOW they decide to integrate a wireless adapter. Otherwise, to buy it separately, it costs too damn much just for a wireless adapter. I really want one of these, it looks so sexy... More USB Ports = nice. But yeah, I'd mainly get this just for the integrated wireless function and its looks... It looks like it has more internal ventilation now

Smaller = Hotter? :D

Hardly, the chip that generates the heat is a 45nm one, wich runs cooler than the one of the original 360 (wich is a 90nm one if i'm not mistaken.)

and with a smaller casing, there's less ducting needed to get the air where it needs to be, so less resistance = cooler. :p

All I know is that with the older 360's being phased out and transfer kits being sold at retail to move things to the new 360 from the old 360 HDD's... if mine ever decides to RROD on me (I'm nearing or just passed the three years on mine) then I'm going to be getting that one as a replacement.

But until then, mine works fine.
OH, and they have "cat-touch" technology in this new 360 as well. For those of you who don't know what that is, think back to the first models of the PS3. You don't physically push the console button in for power on/off and eject, you just swipe your finger over it.

That give's me a static shock every time I go to power it off or eject a disc. Luckily you can just use the PS menu to do all that stuff.

Took them long enough to come up with that brilliant idea

I can appreciate that it has "better" technology in it, but apart from being shiny and punched in the face, it doesn't seem much different to the "old" one. If anything, I prefer the looks of the other

Holy crap, 65nm if you were lucky to 45nm guaranteed ! I wish I could trade my Elite for one of these... :/

This is intresting,Love the new looks of the console aswel....

I take it its just the same speeds/power as the normal 360?...id have thought that now with it been 45nm they might have boosted the power a little bit more?

One thing that they did change FINALLY was a built-in Wi-Fi connection. Only took them 3 years to stop charging $100 for something that the other 2 major consoles offer out of the box...

It's defiantly not fake that is for sure. Microsoft even has a video of it posted on xbox live. I might get one because mine has been having some graphics problem and I think it's due to overheating and sometimes it reads games a DVD's:confused: Not only that but I still have a 20gb hard drive from the first 360 I had so it would be nice to have something bigger.
