I also just ran an Avast quick scan and had 4 threats: Alueron-fz, int-downloader and 2 others. I can't copy paste or save the logs. I've never had so many attacks, usually when I scan Malwarebytes or Avast I get nothing. Last 5 days I feel like I'm breeding infections. Or I've got an open door.

Y'know about a week ago I updated Zonealarm and that is when my problems began. Coincidence?

I also did a full scan with Super AntiSpyware Scan Log

I scanned again SuperAntiSpy and Avast and so far I am clean. Also the IO Security 360 which I uninstalled was an AntiMalware program not Antivirus.

But, Malwarebytes snagged these items, and I can't update Malwarebytes:

Thanks John, I'm down for today and maybe tomorrow. Yesterday around noon seems the router died so they're sending a new one. Funny, it died just when I went to check Microsoft Updates and at first I though some Malware attack or virus had blocked IE. I hope to be back on the internet tomorrow.

Update: Today I am finally on the internet with this laptop first time since Monday. I ran into alot of problems with the new modem/router and after a friend spent nearly 2 hours on the phone with IP tech support it finally works.

I was immediately able to do a current update of Malwarebytes (strange) and Windows without problem or the MBAM ERROR. Quickscan of Malwarebytes turned up 0 infections. I notice my IP added a Subnet IP address and I have a funny feeling that my IP was the problem with updating.

What should I try now John??? On Monday I scanned with Avast, SuperSpyware etc. Heres a current HJT Log.

Your log looks good except for that we can stop some processes that load at startup.

Rerun hijackthis and place checks next to the following entries.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [UpdateManager] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Sonic\Update Manager\sgtray.exe" /r
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [SUPERAntiSpyware] C:\Program Files\SUPERAntiSpyware\SUPERAntiSpyware.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [ctfmon.exe] C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe
O4 - Global Startup: Kodak EasyShare software.lnk = C:\Program Files\Kodak\Kodak EasyShare software\bin\EasyShare.exe
O4 - Global Startup: Microsoft Office.lnk = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\OSA9.EXE
O4 - Global Startup: WinZip Quick Pick.lnk = C:\Program Files\WinZip\WZQKPICK.EXE

Then click on fix checked at the bottom.

I'm glad that you finally figured out what the update problem was and now you have a clean system.

Ok, I just did the HJT Fix on those 7 items. Thanks for all your help. I really needed it and I learned abit too. I also uninstalled the Zonealarm Toolbar since I don't use it. This laptop is so much faster now. Do you think I should try Ccleaner?

I downloaded Ccleaner and it cleaned up 70MB. Registry scan fixed 4 incomplete Zonealarm items and deleted 3 Symantec fragments. Thanks again John. Still don't know what the xxflb is but...

Everything seems fine and I have done many scans and been on the internet for 10 hours and this old Dell D600 is very snappy now. No more crazy infections.

I even went to Dell and updated the Bios and Chipset Drvrs. I had to install Microsoft Netframe Program w/updates (Dell's recommendation) to do the Updates. I don't think I need Net Frameworks 2.0, 3.0, 3.5 and Hotfixes anymore and it is a HUGE MB's program. Is it safe to Uninstall it at Control Panel? Anything else I should uninstall??:?

EDIT: Uninstalled it at Control Panel, latest version first.

You probably shouldn't have uninstalled all of that. The NET Frameworks you will most likely need at some point in time, and the Hotfixes are patches for problems and the such. "Hotfix" just means that it was installed while the computer was in use, but it is basically a system update.
