Any suggestions on what I should buy?

I'm in Ottawa/ON so my store choice seems to be Futureshop, BestBuy, Walmart, CanadaComputers, PCCyber and maybe TigerDirect.ca if they include free shipping.

The best I could find is: Walmart.ca

$428.00CND+tax: ACER 15.6" NOTEBOOK, AMD Athlon II Dual-Core 320P, 4GB ram, 250GB HDD, ATI 4250 graphics, Windows 7.

Any suggestions?

I went ahead and bought the Acer Aspire 5551 from Walmart.
Paid about $486CND in total.

I love it!

Acer Aspire has a really clean and modern design.
Built-in webcam, microphone, and speakers.
Keyboard has numpad.
4GB of DD3 memory at 1333mhz
Dual-core @ 2.1ghz (meh, is OK)
250gb HDD 5400rpm (meh, is OK)
15.6" HD LED LCD monitor
Wireless N Wifi
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Quick update. The Acer Aspire 5xxx line uses a built-in 1.3MP webcam from Microsoft. I find that it creates a really low quality image that is dark, unclear, and pixelated.

It's a shame because everything else on the laptop is decent. Means I'll have to bring my Quickcam Pro 9000 if I want to make decent photos or videos.

My friend has a two year old laptop, and my other friend has a 1 year old $290 netbook... both have a better built-in webcam.

*sigh*
