HDD & games question

I thought this would be the right place to post...

I have the OS + antivirus installed to my 60GB SSD and nothing else, everything else is installed to a seperate 250Gb hard drive.

Now GTA IV and all my other games are installed on my 250Gb drive,so if i format the SSD and re-install windows...will all my games still work from the 250Gb without the need to re-install the game or will there be some sort of problem?

I... believe they should, unless any part of the games are on the ssd. And they may not if you change any hardware prior to re installing

Thats what i thought,However i noticed that GTA IV,BC2 and alot of other games store their saved game files in the "Documents" folder which is of course related to windows on my SSD

I think they won't work, because when you install games and everything, all temp files and xlive settings, saves and everything is on your SSD. Thats what i think. I may be wrong.

You can permanently redirect your document files to another hardrive besides the local folder. Only thing you can do is try it out. Haha. Just use a backup program incase you don't like what happens.
