Red Dead Redemption is a brilliant game! Yeah, it's like GTA, but it can still be a lot of fun!

Also, it's not on your list... but Halo Reach is a brilliant game too, played it at my mates and loved it (although no Halo game will beat the original for me).

^+1 For Red Dead Redemption, it's a fun game.

I would get GOW 1, as I thought 2 was a fail, but I don't know how many people still play 1. Army of two is lots of fun, but only if you got somebody else to play it with. Playing by yourself really takes away from the whole teamwork thing. I played the first Lost Planet, and didn't like it, and I never got around to playing Alan Wake.

A few other game I would recommend would be

Dead Rising 2
Forza 2, and/or 3
Halo Reach(I have heard good things about this one, I'm still waiting to play it myself though)

Forza 3 mainly for me. You might want to try Mirrors Edge as well. You can pick it up really cheap too at the moment.

I just picked up Mass Effect 2 yesterday and though I never really got into the first one, the second one is pretty darn good and fun! The combat system is a bit tricky to get used to, but the graphics are nicely done and the gameplay is good. Oh, and the story is just awesome!

I also have Halo: Reach (AMAZING GAME!) and Splinter Cell: Conviction, which is pretty good too and I just ordered FF XIII off Gamefly yesterday ($17.99 used!) - I recently picked up the Halo: Reach Xbox 360 S bundle and slowly building my Xbox 360 game collection :)

Has anyone played the new Dead to Rights game for 360 and know if it's any good?

Ive purchased Red dead today for £27.99 on amazon,Just gotta wait now!

As for Halo reach,im not sure i could get into Fps type of games on the 360...its the controller!,Il stick to the Pc For FPS..360 for everything else.
Ive been trying a lot of 3rd person shooters and im okay with them,But Fps like the cod demo it was just horrible :p

So far ive downloaded the demos for the following:

vanquish (Really good game)

Skate 3-first time Ive tried a skateboarding game, not bad at all....graphics are awesome.

UFC:Undisputed-another great game, also looks nice graphics.

Army of Two: the 40th Day for some reason it wouldn't let me play solo, only in split screen? so i didn't get far

ive also downloaded,Mass effect 2,WRC 2010 But not tried them yet,and a bunch of other games on my download list :D

Forza 3,dont know if there's a demo on there,I know there's a PGR demo on there though which il have to try.

Yes i played the demo for about 5 mins just whacking and chopping up the zombies outside, didn't really take any notice of the story :D
looks like its a good game though,il have to give it another try.

I have same view as you on FPS games on consoles, but Halo is the only series of games that have been an exception to that. But that's only because of the lack of PC versions (apart from Halo 1, which was EPIC on PC).

I must admit Halo does look very good,i wonder why they're isn't a demo for it,considering its a 360 only game you would think there would be one.

I cant wait to try the Multiplayer on DRR,I have my Xbox live gold setup and thats all working good, was playing some GTA IV online this afternoon to test it out.

Mirrors Edge was a Beutiful Game as far as graphics go the controls wor good but i thought the story played through to quick.

ME2 Is awsome, but i was dissappointed that they took alot of the rpg feel from it and that was the aspect that made me feel in love with it. but the storys good and im waiting on three.

+1 for prototype

aslo good games include:
Splinter Cell Conviction
NFS Shift and Prostreet
Spider Man: Web Of Shadows
Assassains Creed 1 & 2
and of course COD: MW2

Mirror's edge was brilliant, despite the fact that it was fairly short (completed it really quickly) it was good fun and flowed quite well too... didn't spend to much time lost trying to figure out what to do lol

Havent read this whole thread, Skate 3 not as good as Skate 2 location wise

Not a Halo fan boy but a Bungi fan boy "Get Reach"

Mirrors edge what a great game (for a day) but then you can pick it up for £4 so its well worth that
