New Printer, Turned On, Forgot To Remove Tape

I just bought a new printer and I thought I removed all the tape but there was tape taping down the part where the ink cartridges go (that move across the rod) and I turned it on and it made a strange noise and got an error message. I turned it off and removed the tape and it seems to be printing ok but I am wondering if it would have done any damage to the printing quality at all or to the printer?

no it won't since the only thing the tape did is to refuse the ink to get out and I do not think that will harm your printer..

Not to be rude but they do design a certain level of "idiot" proofing/user mistake into most things. I am not above doing no brainers myself. If all looks good all is likely good. Relax you are fine. Can you imagine the amount of RMA's the company would get if this simple mistake 86'd the hardware?
