Nvidia 3D Vision bad for your eyes?

Hi everyone.

I have heard that going to the cinema and watching a 3D movie can screw up your depth of field vision for a while and if you do this all the time, it can screw up your eyes permanently. Is this true?

I am thinking of getting a 3D monitor and the Nvidia 3D Vision Kit for my gaming purposes but if this 3D stuff does damage to your eyes, I won't be.

Well this reminds me of a handheld "VR" headset my buddy had when I was 7-8 years old . His folks took it from him after the local news reported people "flashing" to the VR world while driving and not using the VR system. How true that is I dunno. The VR back then was "red lines" nothing like what Nvidia brings to the table today.
Id say 3D is not good for the eyes but neither is your monitor. Long as your not super close there should be little issue. With the Nvidia vision though id take breaks between uses and always take a 5 minute "refocus" break every hour. I focus on a object 10 feet away from me.

There really is no "proof" though as those glasses have been out for 2 years now. Long-term studies have not had the time to actually find any faults with them.
