yes everything looks compatible, windows should format the drive to ntfs during the install, but if you prefer to do it manually first try g parted boot cd

I would change the motherboard and power supply:

PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371044

mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157191R

You are getting a better quality PSU, and a better motherboard, but for less

Also, according to Newegg's prices, you can double the capacity to 1TB for an extra $15 extra, and the Samsung F3 1TB drives will outperform the 500GB drives, so would be the better option:

In another thread you said you were buying a prebuilt machine from ibuypower. Which route do you think you're gonna go? 99% of people on this forum would tell you to build your own and so would i!

all the stuff you bought should come with the drivers on cd and to be loaded after installing the os

Indeed you can, I'd only install the ethernet driver at first and then search the manufacturers website for updated drivers. not just the mobo manufac. but realtek's site as well for audio and ethernet.

Definitely build your own rig, I had bought prebuilt machines many times and I finally built my own and it was worth every bit of it, saved money and I know exactly what is in my machine and with you being young its a great learning experience :)

That is an option. You can always use Ubuntu until you can save up for Windows as well.

Yeh but if i get the OEM windows 7 i wont ever be able to upgrade my mobo without buying a new copy.
