x4 955 c3 and thermal paste?

Ive been reading the boards on how to apply the thermal paste.

Is using the DOT or spreading method the best way of doing this for this processor.

Ill be using the thermal paste I got with my CPU cooler . (Zalman CNPS9500A)

I like to use the dot method for spreading thermal paste personally. Use the amount of thermal paste about the size of a grain of rice. Whatever method you use just remember that a little goes a long way. Do not use too much.

Generally you'll be fine which ever method you use as long as you don't use an overly large amount as it will cause the adverse effect.

Personally the Dots work for me, personal preference and all

i'm using this procie, x4 955 c3, i just drop paste size of a grain of rice in the middle of the procie and the result of temp is much better than i drop the paste with spread it onto the procie surface.

Well ive been running my system for about 3days now and its never got above 28*C at idle.

Max my cpu has been is around 35-40*C and thats when i was playing crysis.
