Video Card idol to hot?

I was just wondering my video card idols at about 40 - 47c and I have no idea why. But if someone could let me know would be great thank you. By the way I have the Xfx Ati Radeon HD 5770 Video card

How long have you had it? What are you using to monitor the temp?

looking at some reviews you seem to be right on track with the other idle temps. What are you getting under load?

I just got it like a week ago. And its the Catalyst Control Panel that is monitoring it. And alright under load I have no idea haven't really checked. But probably about 48 - 52c? Im not really sure ill have to check.

Alright I just tested it under full load and it goes up to about 54c the highest is that ok?

what did you use to stress it and for how long?

as of right now those temps are well within the acceptable range.

Alright and I didn't use anything just ran a game. But is there something I could download for free?

Alright I ran that and it ran at 51c the highest temp I ran it for 7 minutes. Am I suppose to run it longer? And the ring that was spinning around in the middle was not smooth it was like chocking up or something it wasn't just spinning is that suppose to mean something?

Temps are fine. What ring? As long as the fan blades are spinning in a circularly, whatever the ring is, it's fine. If not, bad bearing.

Yep temps are just fine. About the ring not moving all that smoothly. You probably have the Graphical settings too high for that card. If you scale down the settings I bet it will run smoother.
