Sup guys im thinking of watercooling my HD6950 thats unlocked to a HD6970.
I want to water cool because of silence and cooling efficiency. This is all going to go in a Coolermaster 690II case. So far here is what i have picked out:

XSPC RS Series 240mm Dual Radiator:

K PSC 1/4" Thread Compression Fitting for 7/16" ID - 5/8" OD Tubing:
http://www.specialtech.co.uk/spshop...r-716-ID---58-OD-Tubing--Black-pid-11310.html

but i was also thinking of mabey buying a kit that had a CPU loop in it and then just add the GPU in it. Is that possible. For example:

http://www.specialtech.co.uk/spshop/customer/EK-H30-Supreme-HF-240-WaterCooling-Kit-pid-12940.html

or

http://www.specialtech.co.uk/spshop...aterCooling-Kit--RS-Series-Kit-pid-12137.html

or

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/225544

+ a Hd6970 GPU block.

So those are the parts that i have picked. Can you tell me if they are compatible.
I hope you can help me.
Thanks

Yes, you can add the 6970 waterblock to a kit. I just ordered the EK Supreme HF 360 kit from frozencpu.com and added the same 6970 waterblock with it to cool my 6950. I saved a ton of money getting the kit instead of piecing it together. It will be here on Thursday, I can't wait.

Imo water cooling is a waste of money i've never used it in any of my systems as i have not had the need for it. Air cooling is just as good on my HD5xxx series it underclocks itself to save power/heat/wear of the card when not playing games.

So this is in a 5xxx series card from ATI (at the time recently changed to amd) and i have heard the 6xxx series has even better under clocking ability when not using the full cards potential.

Personally i have never seen my card go over 90*c (on the hottest day in summer) which is cool for a video card. I am not telling you not buy a water cooled setup just posting some info up so you can choose to go either way and save your money if you wish.
