Free online anti virus

AVG and Microsoft Security Essentials, everything else is junk in my personal opinion and trial and error :)

Even if it's not online, I suggest downloading AVG. I'm not sure how safe it is to scan your computer online (nor did I know of such sites prior to this post), so that's why I suggest downloading this free anti-virus.

Avg isn't recommended anymore for a few different and personal reasons. AVAST and MSE are much better.

I think i read something about avg not too long ago that it wasnt very compatable with windows 7 , in fact yes it was on seven forums

is safety even possible?

I use 'AVG basic. Twp days ago I watched as virus's and Trojans piled up on my computer so fast I couldn't keep up. The listing read 38 the first hit which lasted a few minutes. I turned off then back on, the second barrage hit and lasted longer. Must have been over 100 total. Computer was beyond repair. I tried exchanging parts out of my spare part box but it would never run again. I'm a political activist and computer held a lot of evidence. Is it even possible to protect against a determined hacker or a government spy system?
