hey everyone,

Ok I dont know much about this so please dont stone me but, if its possible when do you think we will see servers that allow pc, xbox and ps3 gamers to play together? I would really love to see cross platform gaming become a reality, is there anything out there on this stuff?

I googled it but turned up nothing.

thanks

hmm i have heard around and this idea is out there but i dont think they will do it, would be great if they could, but since xbox and ps3 are not the best of friends they would not agree to it imo. but you never know in the future it might just happen.. as for CS:GO it is one of the counter strike games Counter Strike:Global Offensive the cross platform is only between pc and ps3 at the moment though

The best chance would be PC and Xbox as Microsoft is the common denominator.

I'd love to see the best keyboard and mouse players go up against the best controller players.

This was done with shadowrun on the 360 and pc.

Rubbish game imo, and i dont think i ever played with a pc gamer on it one.

I think if they did it properly it would be fun, like now im at odds as all my firends have consoles so i cant play with nay of them on bf3 :p

I thought they did this in COD MW and they just turned into PC servers because the Xbox players thought it was unfair.

They did this already with the game called "Darksiders". The developers allowed the Xbox and PC version to play with each other online.

Whats the reason NOT to do something like this? Whats keeping the makers back, is it money? Just seems silly to me that not all games make cross platform servers.

I bet someone extrenely nerdy could do it for maybe themselves and a few friends, access to the internet idc what your using I bet it can be done.

I presume its due to the fact that pc gamers have an immediate advantage in terms of kb/m and also ps3 ( i also presume) dont want to do xbox any favours and allow cross platforming as this would mean someone could have either/or console.

Id say the biggest reason is competition.

PC gamers are mad because xbox gamers have aim assist and xbox gamers are mad because PC gamers have mad precision. People usually complain about the balance. I think it would be cool to have the option although I doubt any company would invest in cross-platform servers just for the option though.
