Not sure if i'm in the right place if not could a mod move it for me please.
Right i need to find out how i can get into the modem to try and sort out a port,i dont know what i'm doing so please make it very simple,thank you.

The modem itself or your router?

First off, what are the brand(s) and model(s) involved?

netgear n150 router dgn1000.I have MW3 but can only play SP and when i got in touch with Activision Support they said it was to do with firewalls and my router not letting the ports through.I dont understand any of it.My port for my router is 192.168.0.1

That's your networks IP address, not the port number. Hold on I'll do some research.

A quick google revealed this:

1) Changed to lcc (as per netgear above)
2) Turn off firewall - Wan ping blocking
3) Turn off UPNp in system settings

I'm not familiar with that router, so I can't give you specific directions.

check out portforward, the IP address you gave will probably take you to your routers page when entered in the address bar

Got to be honest dont know what you are talking about but will try and do what you said,mate.

if you google portforward, its a website that tells you how to open ports for your brand of router and what ports you need to open for certain apps

Done that mate but they donot have my model listed so i'm knacked there,thanks for you imput.

My router is Netgear N150 DGN and its not on that list any where mate,no i have not phoned them because i cannot talk.

ah yeah sorry about that, have netgear got an email for support? ill try and have a look myself
