Are those your only options?
I'd assume your price is around the $350 mark. If that's the case you can get the Sennheiser 598 cans and a NuForce Icon uDAC-2.

Dare I say it would be quite the improvement over the two listed above.

Thanks for all the replies, I will definitely check out the Sennheiser headphones. I have a friend who works at a local electronic store and he recommended the B&W and can get me a discount, hopefully the store also sells Sennheiser's. The Beats are pretty much off the table now I think.

Beats are overpriced and sound crap compared to similarly priced offerings. Good move dropping them out your choices

If you want the low down on sound, head over to www.head-fi.org

With that budget there are a lot of options and configurations, choose what suits your needs or requirements, be it noise cancellation/no leakage, soundstage, clarity, bass, mid range... and so on.

I use Sennheiser HD 202 and they sound absolutely phenomenal for only costing me $20.

+1 to Sennheiser

Beats are overpriced and sell simply because they look cool and have Dr. Dre's name on them.

Just wait until you get a soundcard and AD700's like I did. It's like... x a million
