You will get the error if you aren't running the cpu fan off of the cpu fan header. Are you using the correct fan header or no?

yes i am running it off the cpu header its on the same one as the old cpu fan and i didnt have the error before

Are you using a 3 pin connection instead of a 4 pin? Can you list a model of motherboard you are using? Kind of hard to tell here.

That may or may not be the problem. Do you know the model of motherboard? That would help a lot.

I can't tell if the cpu fan connector on the board is a 3 or 4 pin connector. Like I said, it may or may not be the cause and with it being a motherboard out of HP computer, you won't be able to turn off the warning. I would try a cpu heatsink/fan if the header on the motherboard is a 4 pin.

im pretty sure its a 4 pin, and the cpu fan is a 3 pin. is there a connector i can buy to fix it?
