ok so i transferred my computer (hp p6720f) with all stock parts from its standard case to an nzxt m59 case and now im having ridiculous problems......

well the power wont turn on my fans wont spin and the light that turns on and stays on continuously on my psu wont even light now...
the only thing that makes me think that there is power going somewhere is that there is one little led light that lights up but that is it and now i attached the power button from the original case and it wont turn anyhting on either so someone please give me some kind of advice. thanks guys sorry for being a total noob......

Check all wires and ensure you got the pins in the right place this seems like you either are not completely connected or have something in the wrong place.

i already did and the only thing that im not completely sure is positive is the power, reset, h.d.d. light, and pos and neg leads that connect to my motherboard but i looked it up and i used the motherboard website specifications but i dont believe that would have anything to do with the fact that the psu wont even light up or the fans wont work....

do you happen to have another psu? It seems strange the psu wont even light up it.. can you verify if it has a switch on the back to change the voltage and ensure its in the right one which is 115?

If you dont have the power buttom on the right pins on the motherboard, it will not fire up. Sounds like you just have the case leads all screwed up on the motherboard header. Plus, you sure you have the standoff under the board in the right places.

no i dont have another psu but i will make sure that it is on the right switch. stranglehold i am a little confused about those standoffs i looked it up online so im not completely sure that its correct or not so if you happen to know where i could figure it out and i see that you have a nzxt case as well so im not sure if its going to be as similar to mine or not but i would love to hear your input on it. i just really need to get this computer fixed....

You only put standoffs under holes that have the grounded strip around them.

If this is your board, it looks like you just need 8 of them.

You got the 4 pin CPU power connector plugged in? Look at your old cases wire layout for the power button/Reset on so on. Trace them back up to the power button and so on and make sure you have the new case wires on the right pins.

thats the problem my old case which was the oem case that came with it i am trying to switch to a nzxt m59 case and on the power wire the wires are different colors and there are more of them plus on the m59 case there is a separate button for on/off and reset but on my other computer it only has the power button that you have to hold down for 3-4 secs to restart the computer....
the order that im using is on the site

Try unplugging them all execpt the power switch. Goes on pin 6 and 8. 6 and 8 are next to the side with the missing pin. It should work if you have the +/- backward, but you could switch them around just to make sure.
