.msi question

Hi everyone...I just have a question hope someone can clear it up for me please. In order to install software over a network using gpo...I would need an msi package right. Here is where im alittle confuse.
Lets say I wanted to install adobe and lets say firefox over my network...


Is an msi package specific to the software i want to install?

example: I would need an adobe msi package and a firefox msi package.

If so where would I find these msi packages?

I googled this and youtubed it but everyone seems go straight into the install and just says "k i have the msi package lets install it" ect...

You can usually get the msi's straight from the vendor. So mozilla and adobe.

With adobe you can extract the msi from the normal installer files. But there's also an enterprise deployment guide where you can just subscribe to the installer files.

I believe a .msi installer is another type of SetupShield or wise (normally noticed as the setup.exe) that Microsoft created. It provides more features and a GUI interface with automated uninstall.
