hi
i have old computer pentium 4 win XP,and programs whot i like to transfer to new computer AMD FX 8120,mother board gigabyte ga-970a-ud3 amd+atx,
old computer hard drive IDE new SATA.
1.how i can make that work?
can i transfer Image threw network to new hard drive.
2.if i transfer Image to new computer,how i have to make the computer run?
3.if i make the computer runing in win XP,can i install win 7 ultimate on difrent partition?

i woud apriciate if sombody describe whot i need,and steps whot i doo first and whot i doo last.

ok. IF I read your post right, you can't do what you want. The new motherboard and CPU will not boot the windows with a fresh install.

You mean without a fresh install?

But yeah, if you change your motherboard, you need to reinstall.

A fresh install must be done in order to boot with a new motherboard. You'll have less hassles doing the fresh install. You can't image over the old install to the new system, it still won't boot up.

The main idea is he does not want to reinstall, and it will not work. That only works when the 2 boards are very close in design.

the old computer with XP is runing,
is it posible to trasfer all programs to new computer?
i can instal on new computer,XP or win 7,but i would like to get all programs from old computer, funktioning in new computer.
can i put image of the old hard drive to new hard drive in new computer,then boot from XP disk and choose the option repair windows?
is there any softvare what will do the job,
i stoped at Ofice max the technitian told me,there are cables and they transfer programs from computer ,XP windows to computer,win 7.

Yes. Well not to say that is completely correct.

You can transfer the data, but you will still need to reinstall the program on the new computer. I think there is a migration wizard in XP or something close to help you.
