power supply upgrade options for slimline

I have this:

http://www.acer.ca/ac/en/CA/content/model/PT.SE6P2.004

I know big mistake regret it now, specs looked good for the price.

anyway I feel like this computer wouldn't be that bad with a decent video card but yeah 220 watts. I've given up looking for a power supply that will fit the case and is reasonable priced.

Now I'm thinking about just running a regular sized power supply outside the case. Are there any problems that could come from this? So what I think I understand is I need to get a power supply with the small micro atx connector, or buy an adapter?

Also, I was thinking perhaps connecting a second power supply to just the video card (one that requires its own power cable)

what should I do?

What I would do is take it in to a computer shop and ask them if there would be a way to transfer everything over to a regular ATX case. It all depends on the motherboard and case connections.

You could buy a cheap case, some even come with a power supply, look on newegg, they have some good deals. you could put your computer parts in a new case yourself

You can, may have an issue wiring it up to existing or somehow wiring it up to a push button switch. Gonna be less of a headache to see if you can get it a new case.
