Really need help

i have recently built a computer and it was all working fine it booted to the bios and everything, then i bought windows 7 and was about to install it when i turned it on and it cut out, i tryed it again and it wont even boot please help :p

Did you use the standoffs between motherboard and case? What are the exact specs of your system?

motherboard
cpu
memory
video card

So what happens when you press the power button? Anything? What power supply are you using as well?

Shut down and switch it off. Leave the power cable connected (outlet switched off). Leave the PSU switch ON.

Touch the computer case chassis and then remove the BIOS motherboard battery (CMOS battery)

and then hold down the ON button on the computer for around 30 secs. Replace battery and try again.

Not necessarily but it's worth trying. It resets all your BIOS settings back to default if I remember correctly and might alleviate the issue. Any other lights on your motherboard or beeps?
