I have just installed a new Samsung 840 SSD drive, another two sticks of RAM (2GB each) and then installed a fresh copy of Windows 8 Pro x64 on to the SSD.
When I start my computer it begins to start for 1 second, then shuts itself of for 1 second, then it will start as normal. Is this some kind of power issue? I do have 4 hard drives but a 650W should be ok to power the system in my signature. The RAM shows Ok and the SSD works fine.
When the computer starts my bios splash screen shows, then the SSD card initiates and details on the screen, then the bios will show again before the computer attempts to start, I thought this was also strange.
I have 3 operating systems installed (Windows 7 x86 and Windows XP x86 on one of my Samsung SATA HDD's and Windows 8 x64 on my new SSD). I am also having trouble assigning the C: drive to my new Windows 8 installation when actually inside the Windows 8 partition. Disk management will not let me assign the C: drive even though it is free. Is this just a case of moving the drive letters around to and restarting the computer to make the C: drive available?
