800D + Rad + New Fan Direction

I had a fan die on me,.. warranty though..

But I decided to get 2 Noctua F12 fans as I heard they were more useful for rads.. much igher static pressure etc.. etc..

Anyhow.. was debating on which way to direct the flow thru rad..

suck air in from top..

or

push air thru, from case and exhaust thru top..

I previously had it push air front case--and exhaust thru top, but got to thinking that wouldbe taking hotter case air..moving it thru

While doing it other way would take cooler air and sent it into case..

What do you guys think?

The harddrive cage fan should be a blowing into the harddrive cage. The back and top fans should be exhaust.

Ok..

And then, do you think it defeats the purpose of a higher static pressure fan in a push/pull on the rad, if the pull fans arent high SP

Not a big fan of the 800. The lower fan setup is kinda screwy. Other then the harddrive fan, you could add two more bottom intake fans, as in one bottom in the power supply section and another one directly above it pulling air into the main case.

My 800D is setup that I have a radiator on top and have 3 fans blowing air through it and out the top, a rear blowing out the rear and a bottom rad blowing out the bottom. When you think about, it almost seems like a vacuum haha. But it gives me ~20 C temps lol

Two types of setups. Positive and negative pressure. Having most fans expel air will provide a negative pressure and the best performance for cooling however it will also cause dust issues.

Positive pressure is the opposite in all manners.
